I have been in the industry 26 years and counting, so I feel I can cover anything clients (realistically) throw at me. I have worked for someone else for 25 of those years and now own the salon with two other stylists which makes work a (sometimes stressful) dream. I love the gather and the buzz of the salon life, I have worked at Oasis all my career and wouldn’t change that. Hair types you nail – Unruly thick hair!

I started hairdressing when I was 17 with the dream of owning my own salon. Nine years ago if someone said to me this job interview you’re about to go to (and get the job) you will own the salon, I would have said they were crazy!! But here I am, living the dream!!!! I regard myself as very experienced in what I do, particularly all aspects of colour. We are a relaxed salon with great stylists that double up as agony aunts!! Training: I went to college in Scarborough but did my training in salon too in Whitby. Hairdressing level 2 and 3. B Tech Indian head massage level 2, Assessors course level 2, Hair extensions. Likes: Socialising with friends, relaxing (not that it happens much), getting out and about into the countryside.

I get on well with all clients and I have a great relationship with my regular clients, maybe it’s the sarcasm?? I like to think I’m really relaxed and clients can talk to me about anything or nothing at all if they prefer to read a book or magazine. I did my training at Oasis 22 years ago. Qualified in hair extensions and training in nails. I love the chatter in the salon, making someone’s day when they feel they need a pick me up!

Hi, I’m Kelsie from Oasis Hair. I’m the Top Stylist here in the salon and love helping new clients. I’ve been a hairdresser at Oasis from being 16 years old, I have worked my way from being an apprentice to my position as top stylist. I qualified at 18 and have now been here 5 years. I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing from cutting, colouring, hair ups and party hair.
